As Dubuque native, Myia was eager to return home to start her legal career, using her educational and professional background to provide her clients with exceptional legal counsel. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Dubuque in 2011, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Sociology and an emphasis in Criminal Justice.
Myia went on to graduate from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2014. During law school, Myia participated in the Annual Arbitration Competition, the Stephenson Trial Advocacy Competition, and the University of Iowa College of Law Legal Clinic. While at the University of Iowa College of Law Myia interned with the Muscatine County Attorney’s Office.
Myia represents a variety of clients across a broad spectrum of litigation related matters. Myia is dedicated to her practice and focuses on achieving her clients’ goals with integrity, professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail. She understands the process can be overwhelming and confusing and strives to ensure that her clients understand their rights and options.
Myia enjoys working closely with clients to help them communicate effectively to the Court the issues that are important to them. She takes an honest and candid approach in counseling her clients through their legal circumstances, and prioritizes communication and transparency with her clients, making sure to keep her clients informed regarding the progression and possible outcomes of their case.
